Branches Atelier is committed to creating high-quality, creative, dynamic, educational programs for children, families and educators. We are a social constructivist program, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education.

Based on our fundamental belief that children learn best when their work is meaningful and in a social context, we integrate all areas of curriculum though short-term explorations and long-term project . Children are viewed as protagonists in their learning and are encouraged to work in collaboration with their peers to co-construct new theories and ideas.

Branches has been an oasis—the most beautiful, safe, and nurturing environment for our three children. We are so grateful to be able to give them the best start in life!

As a third-time mom, I’m still learning new things every week at Infant Class that help me grow as a person, partner, and parent. And my baby LOVES his class, too!!

At Branches, we get the BEST of the best in early childhood education: from beautiful RIE “yes spaces”; to Montessori manipulatives that foster independence, self-care skills, and strong academics; to Waldorf’s soothing rhythms, fine handwork, and whimsical storytelling, so important for social-emotional growth. All this, offered through the Reggio-based approach of contextualized learning, rich in meaning, materials, and connections to the environment, the teachers, and the other children. ~Mary L.

Branches has helped me so much as a mom and informed my work as a family therapist. Being a part of the Branches community is truly whole family care. ~Noelle F., Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

By participating in the Branches community with my children in the baby, toddler and preschool programs, I have learned how to parent more consciously. It has also helped me grow into a better person by learning about myself via the Branches social-emotional curriculum. The community of parents is also amazing and has given me life- long friends with other parents that have the same values! ~Matt A.

As a working parent of two kids, one who has been through the Branches Atelier program from Toddler to TK, and one who has been at Branches since the infant program and is currently in her last year of preschool, Branches offers a like-minded community of parents, teachers and alumni who are supportive every step of the way. The school is equally educational for the children as it is for the families in the community, offering information and programs that help navigate education choices beyond pre-school. Branches Atelier also continues to understand the changing needs of today and has evolved to support parents with the introduction of the extended day program, and other useful programs outside of the school. To be part of Branches Atelier is to be part of a life-long community of like-minded families and friends.  ~Maite C.

Toddler program parent:

Being a first time mom, I was incredibly grateful for parenting support. Karen, the parent facilitator was phenomenal and always had incredible advice and suggestions delivered with kindness. Hearing other parents share their successes and failures also strengthened our mutual feelings of us all being in it together.

Toddler program child:

When revealing new activities, the teachers always had the toddlers mesmerized and interested in trying it out. There was always a general sense of time slowing down, and I often saw toddlers laughing together while exploring something new and exciting. The teachers took careful observations of the toddlers, got to know everyone’s personality and interests, and helped build connections between children through those observations.

Preschool parent community:

Branches fostered a close community by planning many family activities that allowed parents to socialize. I met many close friends through Branches and continue those friendships even after preschool.

 Preschool child:

Branches is a magical place that unlocked a world of discovery and encouraged Zoë to build relationships with both people and nature. Through the languages of art and alongside the best of friends, she learned about the world around her and constructed theories of how it worked. ~Nancy K.
